The long-awaited project will bring a modern, multi-purpose facility right to the heart of the county, expanding what’s possible for community gatherings, trade shows, and emergency operations for years to come. ## **A 10,000-Square-Foot Vision for Flagler’s Future** When construction wraps, the Expo Hall will feature roughly **10,000 square feet of open indoor space**, offering the flexibility to host everything from home and garden expos and career fairs to wedding receptions, youth competitions, and cultural festivals. Including the lobby, restrooms, storage, and kitchen facilities, the total building size will reach close to **15,000 square feet** under roof — giving Flagler County one of the most versatile public venues in the region. Located just north of Cattleman’s Hall at **150 Sawgrass Road, Bunnell**, the Expo Hall is designed to seamlessly connect with the existing fairgrounds layout, making indoor-outdoor events easier to plan and far more accessible for the public. ## **Designed for Celebration — and Preparedness** County officials describe the new hall as more than an event space. It’s also a key piece of Flagler’s emergency preparedness strategy. Built to withstand Florida’s harshest weather, the structure can serve as a multi-use facility during storms or natural disasters, supporting staging, recovery, and logistics when needed most. In everyday use, the Expo Hall will open doors — literally — for community programs that outgrew smaller venues. It’s an investment in both people and preparedness. ## **Economic Ripple Effect** The addition of a large, climate-controlled space is expected to bring measurable economic benefits to the area.
