Building a Legacy of Community Support
Chiumento and Page were founding members of the 20/20 Society, an initiative launched in 2010 with an ambitious goal: raise $1 million by 2020 through annual contributions from local residents.
The Society exceeded that fundraising goal ahead of schedule, helping establish a foundation of community support for local healthcare initiatives.
John Subers, executive director of the AdventHealth Palm Coast Foundation, credited the two leaders with helping build confidence and attract supporters during the organization's early years.
"Michael and Bruce gave the 20/20 Society credibility from the beginning," Subers said. "People knew them, trusted them and saw how committed they were to this community. Their involvement helped us bring other people to the table and build support for the Foundation."
Since 2009, the AdventHealth Palm Coast Foundation has raised more than $15 million in community donations, including contributions from 20/20 Society members.
Supporting Local Nurses and Patient Care
As a not-for-profit healthcare system, AdventHealth relies in part on philanthropic contributions to strengthen programs, support healthcare professionals, and enhance services available to the community.
Today, many members of the 20/20 Society direct their annual contributions toward the Foundation's Nursing Excellence Fund, which provides educational opportunities and professional development for local nurses.
One example is Joe Stores, an assistant nurse manager at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway. Foundation funding helped cover coursework and examination expenses for Stores to earn his Certified Emergency Nurse credential.
The additional training strengthens his emergency care skills and supports his ability to respond confidently to patients while leading his nursing team.
Both honorees have longstanding records of civic involvement beyond their work with the Foundation.
Chiumento, managing partner of Chiumento Law, has served on the AdventHealth Board of Directors for more than 14 years and founded Chiumento CARES, an initiative focused on community support.
Page, executive chairman of Intracoastal Bank, has contributed his leadership to local healthcare, educational, and civic organizations throughout Flagler County.
Their recognition highlights the role local business and community leaders can play in supporting healthcare services for residents.
More than a decade after its founding, the 20/20 Society continues its mission through charitable contributions that invest in healthcare professionals and the future of patient care in Flagler County.
