Paws to Read at Bunnell Library – Kids Read to Therapy Dogs

The Bunnell Library at Nexus, in partnership with the Flagler Humane Society, invites children ages 4–10 to participate in the heartwarming Paws to Read program. Wednesday from 4:00–5:00 p.m., this special literacy event gives kids the opportunity to read aloud to licensed therapy dogs in a calm, supportive environment.

Reading to therapy dogs helps children build confidence, improve fluency, and develop a love for books without pressure. Young readers practice their skills while friendly, trained dogs listen patiently — creating a positive and encouraging experience.
