2026 State of Florida Back to School Sales Tax Holiday

Consumers can purchase qualifying back to school supplies exempt from tax during the 2025 *Back to School Sales Tax Holiday. Passed by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis, the sales tax holiday begins July 20 and extends through, August 20. 

Learning aids and jigsaw puzzles 30.00 or less
Most school supplies selling for 50.00 or less
Clothing, Footwear and Accessories selling for 100.00 or less
Computers and related accessories selling for 1,500.00 or less when purchased for non-commercial or personal use.

*The sales tax holiday does not apply to the rental or repair of any of the qualifying items. Additionally, the sales tax holiday does not apply to sales in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment or airport.
