Residents and boaters in Palm Coast may soon see changes at the local West Marine store after the company included its Palm Coast location in a list of stores slated for closure as part of ongoing Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring proceedings. The Palm Coast store, located at 250 Palm Coast Parkway NE, was identified among eight Florida locations listed in court filings.

The Florida locations currently identified include:

  • Bonita Springs – 28520 Bonita Crossings Blvd.
  • Fernandina Beach – 474347 E. State Road 200
  • Jacksonville – 14180 Beach Blvd.
  • Orlando – 7478 S. Orange Blossom Trail
  • Palm Coast – 250 Palm Coast Parkway NE
  • Port Charlotte – 4265 Tamiami Trail
  • Venice – 1860 Tamiami Trail South
  • Winter Haven – 1107 3rd Street SW

West Marine filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2026 and is restructuring operations while continuing business activities. Court filings identify dozens of locations nationwide that are expected to close as part of the company's reorganization plan. The Palm Coast location remains open at this time.

Local boat owners, anglers, and marine enthusiasts who regularly rely on the Palm Coast store may wish to monitor future announcements regarding liquidation sales, inventory reductions, or closure timelines as the restructuring process continues.

Hilco Merchant Resources is running the liquidation sales under a consulting agreement signed May 10, a week before the bankruptcy filing. Sales are expected to run through late September. The court approved the store closing motion on June 9.

More closings may come with up to 95 stores being liquidated.
