Palatka is a historic river town about 30 miles west of Palm Coast, roughly a 45-minute drive, in Putnam County, on the banks of the St. Johns River. It's known for its festivals and outdoor events, including the Blue Crab Festival, boating and fishing on the river, the Ravine Gardens State Park, and seasonal fruit festivals. When Palm Coasters want riverfront festivals, boating events, and food fairs, Palatka is a favorite trip.
