Standing Together for Palm Coast

 Palm Coast is a community built on unity, resilience, and the belief that when we stand together, we thrive together. That spirit has carried us through challenges before, and it’s what will carry us forward now.

Recently, there has been talk of conflict within our city leadership. But let us remember something important: the people of Palm Coast have already spoken. Through our votes, we chose Mike Morris to serve as Mayor. That choice deserves respect, not only because it reflects our democratic process, but because it reflects the heart of Palm Coast — neighbors deciding, together, who will help lead our community forward.

Mayor Morris is new to politics. Like any of us stepping into a new role, he is learning. Learning takes patience. Growth takes time. Instead of undermining that process, our leaders should be working together to guide, support, and strengthen his leadership. After all, the purpose of elected office is not to serve personal interests, but to serve the people of Palm Coast.

Now is the time for unity, not division. Our City Council members have vital work to do — focusing on roads, safety, parks, small business support, and the well-being of every resident. That work cannot be done if energy is wasted on infighting. Our neighbors deserve better.

Palm Coast thrives when leaders — and citizens alike — look beyond politics to ask, What can I do to help? Instead of saying, “Here’s the problem,” we should be saying, “Here’s the solution.” When we embody that mindset, we live up to what makes our city special: a community that has each other’s backs.

We have an opportunity right now to set an example for the future. Let us rally behind our Mayor, extend the same grace we’d want if we were learning something new, and encourage our Council to do the job they were elected to do: serve all of us.
