Community Comes Together to Share Holiday Warmth with Seniors in Palm Coast Led By 4 Dynamic Women.

Palm Coast, FL — During a season meant for togetherness, kindness, and connection, local community leaders joined hearts to ensure no senior felt forgotten during the holidays. Seniors at Gold Choice of Palm Coast Senior Assisted Living became a beautiful reminder that even the smallest acts of generosity can create lasting joy. This heartfelt initiative brought warmth, love, and holiday cheer to over 85 residents.

The initiative was made possible through the compassionate collaboration of community partners who invited the public to participate by adopting a senior for the holidays. Trees with “Adopt a Senior” were proudly placed throughout the community, making it easy for residents to get involved. Trees were located at Parkside Realty, Lotus Funeral Services, and Junque in the Trunk, where community members chose a senior.

The initiative was led by:
•  Kathleen Rivera, Right at Home of Palm Coast
•  Deborah Ronson, Parkside Realty
•  Cathy Horrocks, Better Homes & Gardens
•   Shara Brodsky, Sift & Sort
•   Nina Guiglotto, Lotus Funeral Services

Together, these community leaders transformed simple gifts into powerful reminders that every life matters. Each present was chosen with intention, wrapped with love, and delivered with a message far greater than the gift itself: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.

“For many seniors, the holidays can be an especially quiet and lonely time,” shared the organizers. “This project was about more than gifts, it was about restoring connection, dignity, and joy. Seeing the smiles, the tears, and the gratitude reminded us why community matters.”

The response was deeply moving, as neighbors, local businesses, and supporters came together to ensure every resident felt the warmth of the season. From practical necessities to personal surprises, each gift carried compassion, respect, and heartfelt appreciation for the lives these seniors have lived and the stories they continue to share.

Adopt a Senior shined a light on the power of human connection and the importance of honoring those who paved the way for us. Organizers hope this effort inspires continued acts of kindness during the holidays, and throughout the year.
