Florida’s New License Plate Law: What Vehicle Owners Need to Know

On October 1, 2025, Florida vehicle owners will face stricter penalties for obscuring, altering, or tampering with their license plates — even unintentionally. The new law, passed under House Bill 253, aims to make it easier for law enforcement to identify vehicles and prevent the use of devices that block cameras or scanners from reading plates.

Palm Coast, FL – November 6, 2025 — The community came together in a big way Thursday night at Palm Coast Lanes for a lively Music Bingo Fundraiser benefiting BUMPER Bulldogs, a local nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehoming various Bulldogs throughout Florida.

With the motto “Healing One Bulldog at a Time,” BUMPER — which stands for Bulldogs Urgent Mission Program to Locate, Rehabilitate, and Rehome — works tirelessly to provide neglected, abandoned, and surrendered Bulldogs a second chance at life. Based right here in Palm Coast, the organization is run by founders Melissa and Jesse Sanchez, two passionate Bulldog lovers who have made it their mission to create happy new beginnings for dogs in need.

“We’re a small but mighty team with big hearts for Bulldogs,” said Melissa. “Every donation helps us cover veterinary care, medications, treatment programs, and supplies that make healing possible.”

A Night of Music, Laughter, and Giving Back

The event featured three free rounds of music bingo, followed by a bonus round for just $10 a card, with all proceeds going directly to support BUMPER’s rescue efforts. Attendees also enjoyed a 50/50 raffle with an extra bonus prize, food and beverages available for purchase, and music entertainment provided by DJ Big Mic from M&M Entertainment — keeping the energy high all night long.

In a tremendous show of generosity and community spirit, Stephan Curcio and Christeen Haney of Florida Homes and Mortgage donated $1,000 to match the community’s efforts, doubling the impact of every contribution made throughout the evening. Their support helped push this fundraiser to new heights — ensuring even more Bulldogs will receive the care, comfort, and second chance they deserve.

Community Spirit at Its Best

Hosted at Palm Coast Lanes (11 Old Kings Road N.), the event drew local residents, animal lovers, and supporters from across Flagler County. Together, they celebrated a shared passion — not just for music and fun, but for making a tangible difference in the lives of animals who deserve a second chance.

BUMPER Bulldogs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and every dollar raised directly supports rescue operations, vet visits, food, and transportation. Each adoption begins with a home visit to ensure that every Bulldog finds a loving, responsible, and permanent family — never shipped, never forgotten.

“Every Bulldog has a story, and every adoption gives that story a happy ending,” said Jesse. “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support us tonight — you’ve helped save lives.”
