Triage & Medical Treatment Area Training

Flagler County Emergency Management will present Triage & Medical Treatment Area training on Thursday, November 19, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Flagler County Emergency Operations Center in Bunnell.

This free disaster-volunteer class provides more in-depth instruction on performing triage in the field and working within a medical treatment area. Participants will also learn best practices for supporting organized emergency-response operations.

The training is geared toward volunteers and community members interested in strengthening their emergency-response knowledge. Triage involves determining how people are prioritized for care when multiple people may need assistance at the same time, making organized procedures especially important during disasters and large-scale emergencies.

For Palm Coast and Flagler County residents already involved in disaster preparedness or volunteer response, this class provides an opportunity to build additional practical skills close to home.

The course is offered through Flagler County Emergency Management's Community Training program at no cost to Flagler County residents.
