Roaring with Community Spirit: Palm Coast Lions Club Music Bingo Raises Funds and Fun
Palm Coast Local Local Community Palm Coast
Palm Coast Lions Club Music Bingo Night – October 30, 2025
The Palm Coast Lions Club’s Music Bingo Night brought together local businesses, neighbors, and friends for an evening filled with laughter, music, and community spirit. It wasn’t just about the games — it was about coming together for a shared purpose: helping others.
The night started off with great food from Palm Coast Lanes and plenty of friendly networking. PalmCoastLocal.com member Thomas Rohr, owner of A Grandfather’s Legacy Plumbing, attended as the event sponsor alongside his wife Nancy and their two children. “This was such a great way to get to know everyone, and we had a fantastic evening out with the family while doing so,” said Thomas. “And the burger and food lived up to the hype we’ve heard about! Thank you all for having us.”
Adding to the fun, Lion Abby Baker, dressed as a roaring lion, handed out raffle tickets for prizes valued at over $5,000, all donated by generous local businesses. Prizes came from Texas Roadhouse, Palm Coast Ford, Leiani’s Sweetery (who also treated everyone to cookies), Zaxby’s, Sift & Sort Professional Organizing, Lotus Funeral Services, and many more community supporters. The 50/50 raffle winner, Lion Bobbi C. from the Ormond By The Sea Lions Club, made the night even more special by donating her winnings back to the Palm Coast Lions Club — WOW!
The costume contest was another big hit and brought plenty of smiles. The crowd cheered as characters from The Wizard of Oz — Dorothy with Toto, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Lion — took the stage. The group captured everyone’s hearts and walked away with the prize for Best Dressed as a Group, proving that teamwork (and a little bit of imagination) really does make the magic happen.
Other standout costumes included the Phantom of the Opera (who also took home the 50/50 Music Bingo win), a hilarious Gen Z Job Applicant who had everyone laughing, Little Red Riding Hood, a spooky Ghoulish Skeleton, a nostalgic Power Ranger, and an enchanting Toy Windup Doll, among many other creative entries that filled the room with Halloween spirit and laughter.
Palm Coast Lions Club President Shara Brodsky was in attendance, greeting everyone with her infectious smile and warm welcome. She was joined by members of the Ormond Beach Lions Club, who came out to show their support and celebrate another successful night of community giving and fun.
"What an honor to serve as President of the Palm Coast Lions Club, an amazing group of individuals who selflessly give their time to serve our community. We not only make a difference together, but have fun doing it! This Music Bingo and Halloween Costume contest at Palm Coast Lanes was the perfect example of out Lions spirit, service, laughter and camaraderie all in one night!" expressed by Shara Brodsky.
Making the evening possible was Mark Mistie, who coordinated the entire event for all parties involved; PalmCoastLocal.com, who designed the flyers and helped spread the word; and DJ Big Mic (Mike Brown) with M&M Entertainment, who kept the energy high, the music flowing, and the laughter rolling all night long.
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to everyone who contributed their time, creativity, and community spirit to make this event such a success. “This is what community coming together is all about,” said Bill Vodek, the official photographer of the night. “Everyone came together for a cause while meeting others you might never have had the chance to meet.”
The Palm Coast Lions Club is part of the world’s largest service organization, dedicated to improving lives through community support and health initiatives. Funds raised from events like this help provide free eye exams, glasses, blood sugar testing, and assistance for those with hearing and vision impairments — ensuring that everyone in Palm Coast and Flagler County has access to the care they need.
It isn’t about a single club, business, or person — it’s about Locals Helping Locals, coming together for a common goal, and that’s what it’s all about!
