After a 30-minute conversation with Maegan, a Palm Coast local, I asked, "What inspired you to create the video?" Her response was unexpected. She explained, "My husband and I were on our way home after assisting a friend who needed a generator to keep their insulin refrigerated. As we drove back, witnessing the extensive flooding compelled me to pull out my phone and start recording."
Listening to Maegan share her story was captivating. Over the phone, she took me on a journey through the heart of our community. "As we traveled through familiar neighborhoods, passing homes and roads we drive daily, the impact of the flooding left us both speechless. The silence spoke volumes between my husband and I as we absorbed the scene. It was a poignant reminder of the strength in connecting with each other, even in the face of adversity."
