User Data Deletion Policy

Palm Coast Local is committed to honoring your right to have your personal data removed from our platform. This policy explains how users who registered via Facebook, Google, Apple, or email can request that their account and associated personal data be permanently deleted.
This process applies to personal data held by Palm Coast Local only. Data held by Facebook, Google, or Apple on their own platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies and must be managed directly with those providers.
Upon a verified deletion request, we will permanently remove:
Your user account and login credentials
Your name and email address
Any social login link (Facebook, Google, or Apple connection) stored in our system
Your account preferences and saved settings
Any private messages or submissions associated with your account
The following data may be retained or handled differently:
Business listing information you submitted may be retained in anonymized or publicly-attributed form if it represents a real local business — you will be notified if this applies to your request.
Anonymized, aggregated usage analytics that cannot be linked back to you personally.
Records required for legal compliance or fraud prevention (retained only as long as legally necessary).

Please include the following in your email:
The full name associated with your account
The email address used to register (or the email associated with your Google/Facebook/Apple login)
The login method you used: Email, Google, Facebook, or Apple
A brief statement confirming you are requesting permanent deletion of your account and data

Once we receive your request, here is what to expect:
Step 1 — Confirmation (within 2 business days) — We will reply to your email confirming we have received your request and verifying your identity using the information provided.
Step 2 — Verification — We will match your name, email, and login method against our records to locate your account. If we cannot verify your identity, we may ask for additional clarifying information.
Step 3 — Deletion (within 30 days) — We will permanently delete your account and all associated personal data from our active systems. You will receive a final confirmation email when this is complete.
Step 4 — Backup Purge — Any backups containing your personal data will be purged within 90 days of the deletion date as part of our regular backup rotation cycle.
The data deletion request process is the same regardless of how you registered. The table below clarifies what each method involves:

Facebook requires that apps offering Facebook Login provide a Data Deletion Request URL. Palm Coast Local complies with this requirement.
If you used Facebook Login and wish to remove all Palm Coast Local data associated with your Facebook account, you may either:
Email us at 386palmcoastlocal@gmail.com (as described in Section 3), or
Go to your Facebook account → Settings → Apps and Websites → find Palm Coast Local → Remove. This will trigger our deletion process automatically.
In either case, we will delete your data within 30 days and send you a confirmation.
Deleting your Palm Coast Local account does not delete your Google, Facebook, or Apple account. Those accounts exist independently and are controlled by their respective providers. If you also wish to revoke Palm Coast Local’s access from those platforms, you can do so in their account settings:
Google: myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps with account access
Facebook: facebook.com → Settings → Apps and Websites
Apple: appleid.apple.com → Sign in with Apple
All data deletion requests must be submitted by email. We do not accept deletion requests by phone or social media message.
