The battle of the big box membership clubs is heating up once again, and Walmart in Palm Coast is ready to claim its share! The Walmart Supercenter off Cypress Edge wants to expand with a brand-new fuel station.
Set on 1.42 acres in the southwest corner of the existing parking lot, the 1,618 sq. ft. site will feature a 10-pump fueling station along with a convenient store—bringing more choices and convenience to shoppers. Get ready, Palm Coast—Walmart’s fueling up for the future!
Upon further investigation, Palm Coast Local discovered that several Walmart Supercenters across the nation with fuel stations already offer exclusive savings through Walmart+ memberships. If you're familiar with BJ's fuel perks, expect a similar concept—just with a Walmart twist! Walmart is also broadening its membership benefits, offering discounts at participating gas stations like Exxon, giving you even more ways to save while fueling up.
Existing Walmart+ benefits already include free local grocery delivery, free shipping on Walmart.com with no order minimum, Scan & Go contactless checkout, and more. Now, with added fuel perks, members can save even more at the pump.
"We welcome Walmart+ members to Exxon and Mobil’s 12,000+ stations nationwide and are excited to offer them 10 cents off per gallon," said Bill Barenborg, U.S. Marketing Manager at ExxonMobil posted on Walmarts Corporate Page "Families are always looking to stretch their budgets, and we’re proud to help them do that while they fill up with our Synergy™ fuel technology, which improves fuel economy, protects engines, and enhances vehicle performance."
If you are already a Walmart+ Member you can save .10cents off now by down loading the app on your phone.
1) Visit your nearest Exxon or Mobil station & sign into your Walmart account in the Walmart app.
Make sure your location services are turned on. Once you arrive at an Exxon or Mobil fuel station, you’ll get a popup asking if you’re ready to fuel.
2) Enter your fuel pump number, select your grade, & begin fueling.
Alternatively, select "Services" at the bottom of the screen & tap "Member prices on fuel" to launch the QR code scanner.
3) Scan the QR code that appears on the pump screen & select your grade.
Then, just begin fueling. You’ll get a printed receipt when you’re finished.
If approved you won't expect to start fuelling up until well into 2025.
