In the meantime, here is what you can expect from Wawa. At each Grand Opening, Wawa invites neighbors and friends to join the General Manager and the new store team at 7:45 a.m for the exciting countdown, leading up to the official opening at 8:00 a.m.
Be among the first to arrive and you could score a free “Wawa 60th Anniversary in Your Era” t-shirt—available to the first 100 customers while supplies last—and enjoy free any-size hot coffee all day long!
Festivities continue with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m., complete with Wawa’s mascot, Wally Goose, oversized scissors, a bright red ribbon, confetti, and plenty of fanfare.
To further celebrate, Wawa will honor local first responders with its signature Hoagies for Heroes, a hoagie-building competition. Watch as local police and firefighters face off to see who can build the most hoagies in just three minutes! Not only is a large trophy up for grabs, but $1,000 will also be donated to each department’s charity of choice.
